中国水利水电第八工程局有限公司砂石分局是以人工砂石骨料开采加工为主的专业分局，业务范围涵盖人工砂石料系统设计、金结制造、系统安装、运行管理与生产销售全过程。分局在国内人工砂石骨料开采加工行业享有盛誉，被誉为“八局砂石、中国品牌、绿色粮仓”。
Shashi Bureau Branch (SBB) of Sinohydro Bureau Eight is a professional branch, which mainly focuses on aggregate processing. The scope of its business covers design, steel structure manufacture, installation, operation of aggregate process plant. It creates a famous brand and enjoys high prestige in aggregate process in China.
二十世纪七十年代，中国水电八局有限公司在贵州乌江渡水电站建设中，全部采用人工砂石骨料。开此先河以来，“八局砂石”一直领跑着国内水电人工制砂行业：八十年代，在云南漫湾首先使用硬质流汶岩轧制人工砂石料；在湖南五强溪首先使用莫氏硬度达7.0以上的石英岩制砂；在云南大朝山首先解决碾压混凝土所需人工砂石料高石粉含量问题；在四川二滩率先设计安装国内第一个自动化人工砂石加工系统；九十年代，在三峡下岸溪建成当时世界上规模最大的人工砂石生产系统，年生产能力达540万方，并创月供人工砂石骨料112万吨的世界纪录；二十一世纪，在金安桥首先实现料场精细开采；在阿海以惊人的速度，仅用5个月时间，建成处理能力每小时1550吨的大型砂石系统；在向家坝建成目前世界最大的人工砂石加工系统，骨料胶带长达31.1公里，处理能力达到每小时3200吨。
Early 1970s, the first large aggregate processing plant in China was built by Bureau Eight for Wujiangdu hydroelectric project in Guizhou province. In after years Bureau Eight is always the leading runner in aggregate processing in hydroelectric project construction in our country. Bureau Eight first made use of hard rhyolite and quartzite with a Mohs hardness of more than 7.0 to produce aggregate in Manwan hydroelectric project in Yunnan and Wuqiangxi hydroelectric project in Hunan respectively in 1980s. Aggregate processing plant of Dachaoshan hydroelectric project in Yunnan first solved the problem of requirement of high content of rock powder in aggregate for RCC. In Ertan hydroelectric project, Sichuan province, an automatic aggregate processing plant was built. In 1990s the biggest aggregate processing plant in the world at that time was built in Three Gorges project. The production capacity of the plant hit 5,400,000 cubic meters per year and a world record of supplying 1,120,000 tons aggregate in one month was set up. During the 21st century, a delicately designed quarry was completed in Jinanqiao hydroelectric project. Ahai aggregate processing plant with a processing capacity of 1,550 tons per hour was completed in 5 months. In Xiangjiaba hydroelectric project, the world’s biggest aggregate processing plant with a processing capacity of 3,200 tons per hour and a total length of 31.1km of belt conveyors was built.
近年来，中国水电八局有限公司砂石分局诚信守约，奉献拼搏，承建的所有项目均实现提前投产，连续七年实现安全、质量“双零”事故管理目标，队伍战斗力、品牌影响力不断提升。分局出色承建了三峡下岸溪、向家坝、金安桥、溪洛渡、阿海、官地、构皮滩、光照、白市、水布垭、张河湾等众多大型、特大型砂石项目，成为国内人工制砂实力最强的专业化队伍。同时分局成功承建了阿尔及利亚东西线高速公路、柬埔寨甘再水电站、加纳布维水电站等国外砂石系统工程。2007年分局共完成产值7.2亿元，生产成品砂石料1222万吨。
In recent years, SBB practises sincerely its commitment, makes every effort to put all its projects into operation in advance. There is no any safety accident and quality defect in the past seven consecutive years. A lot of aggregate processing plants in different projects such as Three Gorge, Xiangjiaba, Jinanqiao, Xiluodu, Ahai, Guandi, Goupitan, Guangzhao, Baishi, Zhanghewan and so on were completed by SBB. In addition, SBB built successfully aggregate processing plants in international projects such as East-West Highway Project in Algeria, Kamchay Hydroelectric Project in Cambodia, Bui Hydroelectric Project in Ghana etc.. Turnover of SBB in 2007 is 720 million RMB yuan and total finished product of aggregate is 12.22m tons.
经过三峡工程的洗礼与市场竞争的锤炼，目前，砂石分局已拥有员工1071人,其中取得一级建造师、造价师、安全工程师等国家注册资质的20人，高中级工程技术管理人员191人，硕士研究生5人，大学毕业生281人；拥有进口大斗容挖装设备、32吨自卸车、50-65MK－Ⅱ粗碎机、HP-500STF中碎机、巴马克制砂机等各类先进设备2000余台套，设备总值近5亿元；全面掌握了石灰岩、流汶岩、正长岩、花岗岩等原料制砂技术和高强、超硬石英岩、玄武岩制砂技术；全面掌握了乳化炸药爆破工艺、成品砂快速脱水、废水回收、石粉利用工艺，干式、湿式、半干式生产法；已具备各类人工、天然砂石特大型项目独立设计、建设、运营能力。
There are 1,071 employees including 191 engineers in SBB. Among them, 281 people acquired BA degree, 5 people Master degree and 20 people are qualified as registered engineers in safety, cost estimate, project management after completion of Three Gorges project. SBB possesses more than 2,000 sets of equipment including heavy duty excavators, 32-ton dump trucks, 50-65MK-Ⅱcrushers, HP-500STF crushers, Barmac vertical crushers with a fixed assets of 500 million RMB yuan. SBB has comprehensively mastered processing technology of limestone, rhyolite, syenite, granite, basalt and other hard and ultra hard quartzite and techniques of blasting of emulsive explosives, fast dewatering of sand, reclamation of wastewater, rock powder reclamation and dry style, wet style and half-dry style of processing methods. SBB has the ability to design, construct and operate all kinds of aggregate processing plant now.
中国水电八局砂石分局先后获得“全国五一劳动奖状”、“全国职工职业道德建设先进单位”、“三峡工程建设先进集体”、中国水电总公司双文明单位、国家电力公司双文明单位、湖南省文明单位、“湖南省先进基层党组织”、“中央基层先进党组织”、“电力科技推广先进单位”、“中国十大影响力品牌”、“全国最佳施工企业”等十多个省部级与国家级的荣誉称号；先后有五项纪录入选中国企业新纪录，构皮滩项目采用的干湿法生产技术与污水回收处理获得贵州省科技进步奖，是国内砂石行业目前唯一一项省、部级的科研殊荣；分局《废水处理工法》、《硬岩制砂工法》被评为国家工法与集团公司工法。

SBB is awarded more than 10 prizes granted by provincial and ministerial government and organizations: “National May Day Labor Prize” “National Professional Morality Advanced Unit Prize” “Yangtze River Three Gorges Project Advanced Collectives”, “Sinohydro Dual Civilization Unit”, “State Electric Power Dual Civilization Unit”, “Hunan Province Civilization Unit”, “Hunan Province Advanced Party Organization”, “State Advanced Party Organization”, “Electricity Science and Technology Promotion Advanced Unit”, “Chinese top-10 Brand”, “China Best Construction Enterprise”. Five records are selected by China Enterprise New Record. Processing technology of dry-wet method and wastewater treatment has won the honor of " Science and Technology Advance Prize" awarded by Guizhou province，which is the only glory in scientific researches in sand process trades in our country.《Wastewater Treatment Method》and 《Sand Process Method of Hard Rock》of SBB are listed by Sinohydro group as standard construction methods.
